Children & Teenagers
5 – 8 year olds

These classes are project-based as we do not follow a course book. Instead, we use stories, films, songs, topics, games & fun educational learning activities which provide your child with many opportunities to develop and use English in a more natural and enjoyable way.
We focus on all four learning skills; Reading, Writing, Listening & Speaking. Following our natural teaching approach, our learners develop their ability to use a wider range of vocabulary and grammar in a more enjoyable and motivating way.
We also follow a synthetic phonics methodology which helps learners with their English pronunciation skills and whilst improving their reading & spelling skills too.
Children soon start to communicate in English naturally at the Txoko. They quickly adapt to our 100% English environment and take this very seriously, they enjoy being in their English space with classmates, friends and teachers.
9 – 12 years old

- One day per week: 1 hour & 45 mins
9 – 12 year olds continue to develop their language skills in fun and innovative ways, whilst moving on to more challenging areas of English. A greater emphasis is now placed on developing our learners knowledge of English and range of language and their ability to use English more effectively.
These classes continue to be project-based, and we continue to work with stories, films, songs, topics, games & fun educational learning activities which provide your child with more opportunities to develop and use English in a more natural and enjoyable way.
We continue to focus on all key learning skills; Reading, Writing, Listening & Speaking and pronunciation. Following our natural teaching approach, our learners develop their ability to use a wider range of vocabulary and grammar in a more enjoyable and motivating way. Our aim is to promote and encourage natural sounding English and genuine interaction at the English Txoko.
We dip into a range of different course books to provide learners with strategies and skills they need for their continued English development. We teach them how to achieve success on their first steps on the ladder of Cambridge English examinations; A2 & B1. Our focus is not on taking the KET or PET examinations but rather on providing them with the essential tools they will need for later success at B2 & C1 levels.
Teenagers

- One day per week: 2 hours
The English Txoko offers teenagers a refreshing, innovative and motivating approach to help them achieve Exam Success!
We prepare your children for B2 (FCE) and C1 (CAE) exams.
Alongside the weekly classes, we offer exam students the opportunity to attend practice ‘mock’ exam sessions. These sessions help boost their confidence and perfect their exam skills when working under exam conditions.
As Cambridge & IELTS examiners, we can ensure our classes will focus on providing and fine tuning the essential skills necessary for achieving a positive exam result.

Exam classes take place on Fridays from 15.30 – 17.30
