Who are we
Ginny & Rachel
The Txoko
Your English Txoko teachers, Ginny & Rachel, are both highly qualified & vastly experienced English language teaching professionals.
They started Rural English in 2005 which offered a variety of full-immersion adult courses in Casas Rurales, in Sopelana & in Surrey, England. It was a Basque English teacher attending one of these courses, who introduced them to the opportunity of working with very young learners (3 – 6 years) & they successfully taught & coordinated a Jolly Phonics Learning programme & extra curricular lunchtime classes at two ikastolas in the Indautxu area of Bilbao from 2006 to 2013.
Their tremendous success with the young learners prompted parents to ask Ginny & Rachel to offer classes for older children on Wednesday afternoons, it was from here that the English Txoko evolved.
We have had the pleasure of teaching & nurturing many young learners from the very start of their school life at 3, through to young adulthood. Besides guiding them successfully on their English learning journey, we have watched them grow and develop as young people and they will always be part of our English Txoko family.
We have the pleasure of welcoming new learners each year to be part of our wonderful learning Txoko.
That’s all about us for now; if you want to find out more, you’ll have to come along to the English Txoko.
